Introduction

The GrowTech API lets your app or script look after your proxies on its own: see accounts and quota, fetch ready-to-use proxy lists, rotate IPs, even buy GB.

First three steps

1. Create an API key (one key per account, needs a code from your email): open the API key page
2. Send the key with every request, in the Authorization: Bearer gtu_… (your key) header.
3. Try the first command below. Replace gtu_YOUR_KEY with your key.

API key & security

Every endpoint except the /health liveness check needs your own API key.

Important rules

Things that affect what you pay and what you get.

Rate limits

Past a limit you get a 429 with a Retry-After header (how many seconds to wait).

• Every call60 per 1 minute
  Per customer (= per key). Every answer carries X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining.
• Per address60 per 1 minute
  Per IP address, counted before the key is checked.
• Quota refresh10 per 1 minute
  POST /proxy-accounts/{id}/refresh, per account.
• Password reset5 per 1 minute
  Per account; on top, at most 3 resets per account and 5 per customer in 24 hours.
• Whitelist changes10 per 1 minute
  Adding and removing addresses, per customer.
• Blocked-sites changes12 per 1 minute
  PUT /proxy-accounts/{id}/blocked-hosts, per customer.
• Location lists30 per 1 minute
  GET /locations/…, per customer.

Error codes

When a request is refused, the answer carries an error.code your program can read.

• unauthorizedHTTP 401
  The API key is missing, wrong, switched off or replaced.
• insufficient_balanceHTTP 402
  The wallet balance is not enough for the purchase; nothing was charged (details: balance, required, shortfall).
• feature_disabledHTTP 403
  GrowTech has buying through the API turned off for now; buy on the website.
• insufficient_scopeHTTP 403
  Only for a key made before 23 Oct 2026 with limited access: it lacks what this call needs (required_scope names it). Make a new key — new keys can do everything.
• ip_not_allowedHTTP 403
  The key is limited to other IP addresses (its allow-list on the website).
• purchase_not_allowedHTTP 403
  This key may not buy: turn on "Allow buying GB" for it on the website (Account → API key). Nothing was charged.
• not_foundHTTP 404
  No such proxy account, or it is not yours.
• product_not_foundHTTP 404
  Unknown or unavailable product; details.available lists the products on sale.
• product_not_on_accountHTTP 404
  The account holds no such product (?product=).
• idempotency_conflictHTTP 409
  The Idempotency-Key was already used for a different purchase.

Your account, wallet and quota

The lightest call to test a key: the account the key belongs to, the main wallet balance in IDR, the total proxy quota over all your accounts, the key itself (its prefix, IP limit and whether it may buy GB: purchase_allowed), and your limit per minute.

Products and your prices

Every product on sale with your price per GB (your discount already applied), the volume price steps, the order size limits and what the product can do. Check features before calling a setting: a product without it answers not_supported.

Price for an amount of GB

The exact price you would pay now for gb GB of a product: price per GB, discount, tax and total in IDR. Same prices as the website.

Countries a product can target

Country codes (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, lowercase) with the number of addresses where known. count is null when unknown; counts_available says whether counts were read and as_of when. Use the code for country targeting.

States, cities or networks in a country

The states, cities or networks (ASN) a product can target inside the countries you name. available: false means the product cannot target that level (for example ASN on Residential Plus) and the list is empty. Residential Plus takes exactly one country per call.

Your proxy accounts

Every proxy account with its product, status, quota, features and limits, in the order they were made. Quota is kept fresh in the background; quota.updated_at says when it was last read.

Read the latest quota now

Reads this account's quota live. 200: read now. 202 with Retry-After: the read was queued; call GET /proxy-accounts/{id} after the wait. 503 refresh_failed: try again later. At most 10 per minute per account; the list is kept fresh in the background, so this is rarely needed.

Traffic used over time

Traffic used, from our own records: one point per day or per hour (UTC) with traffic, plus totals. Windows of up to 92 days; without dates, the last 7 days. Hours without traffic are left out.

Host, ports, username and password

What to put into your software, with a ready connection_string. ports.rotating: a new address for every request. ports.sticky: a range of ports that each keep one address (30 minutes by default). Residential Plus: each port in ports.sticky is its own address, held as long as the IP rotation set for the account on the website; the password carries the targeting as wifi;<country>;<region>;<city>; (empty = anywhere). The answer carries the live password: keep it, and your key, private.

Ready-to-use proxy lines

Up to 1000 lines in the format you choose, with targeting built in. session=rotating (default): every line is the same rotating endpoint, a new address per request. session=sticky: one port per line, each port keeps its address (main products: 30 minutes by default; Residential Plus: as long as the IP rotation set for the account on the website). Targeting the product cannot do is refused with not_supported and details.control naming it; ttl (session length) is not offered yet. cost_multiplier and note say when state, city or ASN targeting makes traffic use quota faster. The lines carry the live password: keep them private.

Get a new IP

One call for a new address on every product. Main products (method: new_session): answers new connection details with a fresh session on the sticky port; use them instead of the old ones (optional country, state, city, asn in the body keep your targeting). Residential Plus (method: session_reset): the ports you name (ports, or every port when left out) get new addresses; your connection details stay the same. Rotating ports already give a new address on every request. At most 10 per minute per account.

Buy GB with your wallet

Buys gb GB of a product with your wallet balance, at the website's prices, exactly as the website does: the same order, the same wallet debit, the same top-up of your proxy account. Works only with a key whose "Allow buying GB" switch is on (Account → API key on the website; it starts off, and you can turn it on or off at any time): otherwise 403 purchase_not_allowed, and nothing is charged. While GrowTech has buying through the API turned off, every call answers 403 feature_disabled; buy on the website meanwhile. Without account_id the GB goes where a website purchase of that product goes; with it, to that proxy account. The Idempotency-Key header is required, one new value per purchase: a retry with the same Idempotency-Key and body never buys twice and answers the first result again (header Idempotent-Replayed: true); the same Idempotency-Key with another body answers 409 idempotency_conflict; while the first request still runs, 409 request_in_progress. Each Idempotency-Key is remembered for 30 days. A short wallet answers 402 insufficient_balance: top up on the website, then buy again with a new Idempotency-Key.
