How to set up proxies in Node-Fetch
Step by step until Node-Fetch runs through the GrowTech network. About five minutes.
Before you start
- A GrowTech account with quota left (smallest purchase is 1 GB, from Rp 7.100).
- Your proxy username & password, from Console → Access.
- The application itself, installed and ready to open.
The settings you will need
Gateway addressproxy.growtechcentral.com
Rotating port823
Sticky port10000–29999
Concurrent connections5,000
The steps
- Make sure the Node-Fetch library is installed in your project.
- Prepare the proxy address: proxy.growtechcentral.com port 823.
- Paste the snippet below and swap in your username & password.
- Run it. If the IP that comes back is not your own, you are connected.
- Want a held IP? Use any port in 10000–29999. Each port is one IP. Sticky session: the same IP is kept for several minutes, then it changes automatically.
If you get stuck
- It keeps asking for a username & password
- It wants your proxy username, not your website email. Get it from Console → Access. If you just rotated it, the old password stops working immediately.
- Connected, but the IP never changes
- You are on a sticky port. Port 823 rotates on every request; ports 10000–29999 deliberately hold one IP.
- The target still refuses me
- Try a cleaner pool (Residential Elite), or pin the country so your IP does not hop between countries mid-job.
- The connection drops midway
- Raise the tool timeout to 30 seconds. Home proxies run over real people networks, so they are naturally slower than a direct connection.
